Park Royal Design District (PRDD) is home to one of the UK’s fastest-growing creative communities — a vibrant hub of designers, makers, artists and cultural producers. We exist to champion creative enterprise through festivals, public events, networking and collaborative projects that strengthen local identity and cultural value in West London.
We are looking for a dynamic Programme Director to shape and lead our year-round creative programme — including the annual PRDD Cultural Festival as part of the London Design Festival, curated projects, and networking opportunities that connect and empower our community.

About Park Royal Design District (PRDD)
Park Royal Design District exists to support, promote and celebrate the growing community of designers, artists and makers in Park Royal. We champion creative enterprise through public events, networking and collaborative projects that strengthen local identity and build long-term cultural value in West London.
Role Purpose
The Director will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of a year-round programme of events, including:
One cultural festival as part of the London Design Festival (LDF)
A creative project series (minimum six events) that incorporates student engagement as a core strand within broader community programming.
Networking opportunities that connect and strengthen our designer, maker and creative community.
The post-holder will ensure that every activity aligns with PRDD’s mission and supports a thriving, inclusive and interconnected creative community.
Role Nature & Working Pattern
This is a part-time consultancy delivered over 12 months, comprising approximately six months of work spread across the year. The post-holder will manage their own schedule, with workload varying according to programme needs and key delivery periods.
Key Responsibilities
1. Festival & Event Production
Plan, produce and deliver a refreshed annual PRDD cultural festival as part of LDF including curation, programming, logistics, ticketing, staffing, stakeholder coordination and on-site management.
Bring in and oversee additional support during peak delivery periods as needed, engaging short-term staff, freelancers or volunteers to ensure high-quality, well-managed events.
Develop and deliver a year-round project series (minimum six events) that supports the PRDD programme, builds momentum around the September festival, and creates meaningful opportunities to engage local students in line with their term timelines.
Ensure all projects are inclusive, high-quality and accessible to diverse audiences and are risk and Health and Safety assessed.
2. Project & Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with Park Royal-based designers, creatives and makers.
Work with all stakeholders including local authorities, sponsors/ funders, agencies and cultural organisations to develop PRDD’s programme and reach.
Coordinate venues, suppliers, contractors and volunteers.
3. Programming & Community Engagement
Curate projects that reflect the creative diversity of Park Royal whilst attracting new interest and investment
Facilitate opportunities for collaboration among local studios and businesses.
Ensure community voice and participation shape programming.
4. Marketing & Communications
Work with PRDD’s marketing specialist to promote events across digital and physical channels.
Coordinate photography, video, signage and print for events with the marketing specialist
Maintain consistent use of PRDD’s brand and visual identity.
Employ, brief and manage external PR team, providing materials and information as needed
Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders’ to maximise comms potential and align on messaging opportunities
5. Finance, Funding & Reporting
Develop and manage project budgets.
Produce funding applications, sponsorship proposals and partner reports.
Measure success through agreed KPIs — including attendance, participant satisfaction and community and economic impact.
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience delivering public festivals, exhibitions or cultural events.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously.
Experience of working with artists and creative communities.
Experience in placemaking, cultural regeneration or design-led programming.
Excellent stakeholder management.
Budget management skills using microsoft software.
Calm, solution-focused approach in high-pressure live event settings.
Commitment to equity, inclusivity and sustainability in event/project delivery.
Desirable
Experience of working with local authorities or business improvement districts.
Knowledge of the creative and business support industries in West London.
