SEE & EXPERIENCE

EXHIBITIONS
& TOURS

Visit several exhibitions, demo sessions and tours, exploring the intersection of modern technologies and traditional craft.

ARTISANAL INTELLIGENCE

Technology and AI meets art and craft.

Students from Imperial College London have been working with Park Royal makers to explore how new ideas can reinvigorate ancient crafts and, vice versa, how new technologies can draw inspiration from the past.

Rather than a completed showcase, the exhibition is deliberately designed around the spirit of research and development, with a mixture of some finished works, some in progress, some failure and some success. Above all the exhibition represents the collaboration between engineers and artists, in discovery of new and innovative ways of working.

Participating Artists

Absolute Beginners / Blast Studio / Common Ground Collective - Vishal Mehta, Benedikt Huber, Juan Pablo Guzman Alvarez, Emile Meunier / David Samuel × Alex Christopherson / Koalaa / Gilbert Wedam / Sunday Light / Victor Pedrosa

Ancient Crafts of the Levant

Visit Levant Book Café for a fascinating insight into the ancient skills and traditions of the eastern Mediterranean region, many of which are only practiced by a handful of people today.

Levant Book Café is a hidden gem in Park Royal, where you’ll find beautiful and unique crafts for sale including Syrian marquetry, glassware and textiles. Over the weekend they will offer workshops in traditional Palestinian embroidery (Tatreez), as well as live folk music, delicious food and homemade Damascene deserts and ice creams.
