My name is Asha. I am a textile artist and researcher, and, The Gorgeous Nothings is my ongoing sensory and tactile exploration to translate the sensitive and emotional side of human experience through colour, material and light.

My textile paintings and objects are a bit like us— constantly evolving, feeling, absorbing, reflecting and reacting to the environment they exist in, and carry many stories within.

I am drawn to the transient yet ‘hard to shake off’ quality in emotions experienced in moments—of what remains unsaid but felt— in spaces, cultures, and conversations.
