Get Me There ➔This new work on the façade of the LHR21 data centre, was created from over 120 audio recordings that the artist Rafael el Baz collected from the Park Royal community. Visitors to the park will find QR codes directing them to the accompanying website where they can experience the soundscapes that inspired the work.

Get Me There ➔Rooted in David’s abstract mural and studio painting practice, The Beings is a collection of stools, side tables, and modular pieces — functional sculptures that explore themes of connection, movement, and everyday ritual.
Each piece is made by hand in Park Royal, using FSC-certified birch ply, recycled materials, and low-impact water-based paints produced next door to his studio — keeping the carbon footprint minimal.

Get Me There ➔Join Recollective and Social Designs in the construction of the North Acton Village Hut - a centrepiece in the new artists village at North Acton Square. Taking a ‘material first’ approach, this is an exemplary project for what we call ‘anticipatory design’ - an approach to architectural design where the materials available predicate the design of construction systems.
The hut will be finished with natural building techniques including lime render and clay plaster, working with Rescued Clay, also based in Park Royal, to process waste clay from an HS2 site adjacent to the square, into usable clay for construction purposes.

Get Me There ➔Co-designed by Acton-based architects Christian Senkpiel Architecture and Tomato Architecture to bring new life to the existing North Acton Square.
At its heart, the project follows ideas around "design for disassembly" and the circular economy. It uses salvaged materials from nearby Park Royal’s light industrial businesses - like shipping containers and wood from old film sets, that can be easily moved and reused.

Get Me There ➔Bill Amberg Studio spotlights the next generation of material innovation, hosting a dynamic showcase of experimental leather projects developed in collaboration with Kingston University’s Product & Furniture Design MA Course and The Leathersellers’ Foundation.
The exhibition will feature a curated selection of works-in-progress prototypes and process-led experiments exploring leather’s possibilities through circular design principles, ethics and cultural context. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to experience these works within Bill Amberg’s working studio, immersing themselves in conversations around materials, making and place.

Get Me There ➔In Plasmatic Joy, a solo exhibition from Jean-François / Daisy Krebs, the artist gathers blown glass sculptures shaped like pneumatophores – modified roots growing upwards from waterlogged soil – and cast glass panels bearing botanical impressions. Water pools beneath these forms, both reflecting and fracturing. This is a space of consecration, where life, memory, nature, and self-exploration entwine and pulse together.

Get Me There ➔Absolute Beginners is a new kind of factory in Park Royal, where young people learn how to make everyday products in radically sustainable ways.
This year, we’re launching a new product - 100 Year Dustpans! These will be made using scrap metal from old gas boilers, electric heaters and washing machines. The dustpans will be available to pre-order at LDF and online, and will come with a guarantee - “lasts longer than you do, or your money back”.
